Format phone numbers (outside US)

Format phone numbers (outside US)

Trying to add a phone number for a company in Europe that is formated +xx xx xx xx xxx

Zoho CRM has a built-in field for phone numbers that will not allow this as a valid format? Can somebody please advise on how I may bypass this issue without having to create a custom field?
