i had an account for Zoho Creator and just signed up for a Zoho CRM account.  i haven't customized any fields, but i see them in Setup mode.  then i try to use the application and click on "New Lead" or "New Contact" or New anything and i get a form with no fields, just the buttons Save, Save & New, Cancel, two rows of them.  what did i do wrong?  and what can i do to correct it?

i was able to create using Quick Create, for example, an Account but when i try to edit it, it's the same problem---no fields to edit.  in Setup mode, Edit Page Layout, i can see all the fields and they are arranged under sections in the Selected Field List, i.e., there's no field left in the Available Field List, so all the fields should be visible.

what's going on?  i'm missing something very basic for sure.  pls help!
