Forwarding email from with in CRM - Original receiver is showing opening

Hello,

When I forward an email from CRM to another contact, in the original contact record it is showing they opened the forwarded email. I use gmail. 

Example
I send email to Mary.
Then I forward the email I sent to Mary to Beth.
In Mary's record, it shows she has opened it.
Beth does not have a copy of the email in her record.

If I forward email from gmail everything works as it should.  Email shows up under the correct contact. Email is opened by the receiver of the email. 

Thoughts?  Anything I need to double check in set up?
