Forwarding to Gmail w/ + in address

I use mail addresses with a "+" sign when I want to separate out mail traffic for a user.  Ex. the mail address I post on my blog is tim+blog@example.com, whereas I might use tim+spammycompany@example.com for signing up for a service so I can identify who might be shared my email address with someone else.

The trouble is that I've been forwarding my mail to my Gmail account and I never receive any email with the + sign in the address.  I haven't been able to determine whether the problem is at Gmail's end or Zoho's end (or more likely, user error).  Any suggestions?
