Hi,
Posting this to potentially save anyone from dealing with the same issue and missing outreach info.
When reviewing an Account, we often scroll down to the Emails section to see if there has been any email outreach, any opens/clicks, who's been reached out to, etc.
After chatting with support for some time this morning, I was able to confirm that they have changed the way it displays. To view the emails as they've displayed for the last 3+ years, you now have to select this (see attached image) in the view dropdown: "Emails associated with the related contacts"
I'm told it was done because there's new functionality that allows you to send an email from an Account if you set that up.
Maybe it's just me, but once again it seems that Zoho doesn't do any user testing when they roll out features. Wouldn't it make sense to keep the default since nothing will be in the default view for now? Maybe a checkbox to select your preference and have that remembered? Maybe a message to display what's happening?
Two things will now happen:
- My team will have to click that select box everytime they view an Account and want to view the Email trail and/or send a reply
- Someone will certainly forget (especially a manager reviewing) and not catch that someone from the sales team already reached out.
Too many unnecessary clicks was why we left Salesforce many years ago. They're adding up here now.
