Generate Release Notes for Your Project Milestones

In Zoho Projects, you can generate release notes to view the summarized list of tasks and bugs for your project milestones. The release notes contain all the closed issues and tasks for the associated milestone. You'll find your project runs more efficiently when you are not left wondering what, how, and when things are completing in each of the project milestones.  

Generating release notes
  1. Select  Projects from the Home page.
  2. Select your project from the list and navigate to your project.
  3. Select  Milestones and hover the mouse and click on the specific milestone whose release notes you wish to generate. 
  4. Select  Release Notes .
  5. The 'Release Notes' tab is displayed:
    • Completed list of tasks and bugs are displayed with their details.
    • Select the required format for your release notes — HTML Source and Plain Text format are provided in the View As drop-down.
    • The release notes can also be exported in pdf format with the Export to PDF option. 


Benefits of release notes
  • Quick gist of the completed tasks or bugs associated with a milestone.
  • View the details of the completed task or bug.
  • Generate the release notes in the desired format (HTML and Plain text) so as to attach it in the various documents.
  • Improve projects efficiency by closing significant milestones based on its release note.
