Getting mail from external server using IMAP

Hi. Is it possible for Zoho to retrieve mail from an external server using IMAP instead of POP ?

I am a bit confused by some of the documentation that talks about IMAP. This is mostly referring to a different case where the mail client uses IMAP to get mail from Zoho.
