Google Apps Email Account Configuration

Hi! We are experiencing problems with the Zoho Mail Add-on POP e-mail configuration. It shows the " Invalid mail account information. Please check your POP configuration" error message. I tried to resolve the issue with the support team at Zoho, with no luck (the last thing that they suggest is to contact Google). Please, has anyone experience this kind of issue? Thanks in advance!
