I have activated Google Contacts Sync between one group of contacts in Google Apps (CRMShared) and Zoho CRM (My contacts view). I have set up two-way sync and Zoho wins.
Before activating Google Contacts Sync I added 34 contacts to the CRMShared group in Google Contacts. After the initial sync, Zoho CRM also had the same 34 contacts (although a bit garbled due to lack of support for Norwegian letters).
Before the next sync, I added 2 contacts to the CRMShared group, to check if they were added correctly. The result of this next sync was 45 contact on both sides. After checking the difference, I found that the extra 9 contacts were all categorized as "Other contacts" in Google Contacts, which as far as I understand, are contacts not registered by me, but identified by Google based on mail correspondance (they contain only email address and nothing more).
All these 9 "Other contacts" had been added to the CRMShared group, but I don't know how they got to be included among the synced contacts. Did Zoho CRM include them, based on some criteria that I am unaware of?
Am I doing something wrong, or has anyone else had similar experiences? I hope someone can help me by shedding some light on this problem.
