The tech support used to be amazing but the last couple of times i've had to use the tech support chat for Books, forms, and CRM the person on the other end was not helpful.
Today's Adventure:
My workflow rules have been working beautifully for weeks. I haven't changed a single setting.
When we update a stage on a deal, it immediately generates certain tasks; next stage, new tasks, etc. When I change any other field, nothing happens. This is how it should work for us.
This morning we make several deals as usual and update the stages on those and others but the tasks don't come up.
Help chat person keeps saying i need to change the setting on my workflow rule to "whenever its edited" - which i don't want cause in my experience then when i change any field (not just the stage) it adds all my tasks again and i wind up with unnecessary duplicates. I keep telling help person that I don't want that setting, the rule was working right yesterday so it doesn't make sense for it to be a setting issue.
While i'm on with the help chat person the tasks suddenly start popping up. So like a job i updated at 10:36 and should have tasks immediately - that tasks were created at 10:49am. And the tech person is still saying i need to change my settings and we make a new change and the tasks show up immediately so whatever was broken is working again (without me having to change any settings).
Over the past couple months I have had similar interactions with books & forms help people. Everything is working the way we want it to, we don't make any changes, suddenly is isn't working right and they act like its us and want to make changes that then don't do what I need and i put everything back the way i had it and suddenly its working again.
