Help automating a task

I would like to find a way ti accomplish the following : I have a few email templates two or three of these templetes always require that i follow up with a telephone call normanly with in a few days,, anyone have a thought on how to accomplish the following: when i send am email from a predefined template a task is created to make a follow up phone call... sometime I will send a "batch" of emails it would be helpful not to need to go back to each one a create a task reminding me that I owe someone a telephone call
