Help with allowing my site to be searched on Google

Help with allowing my site to be searched on Google

I've watched the help yourself videos to try and figure out how to do this but they look outdated and of no use to me. All I want is to publish my website and be able to search for it through google, yahoo, bing, etc. I don't know anything about 'GA Tracker ID' or 'Meta Tag'. And I do not have a basic SEO form to fill out with 'title', 'keywords', or 'description'. Please help!
