Help with inventory formula
Hi
I have a reservations system set up.
There are two forms: Add New Ticket and Reserve Ride
Would like to make it so that when customers select the number of riders (up to 6 riders) for a specific record (Choose Date and Time) the date/record stays "Available" until the ride is full at 6 riders and then is "Reserved"
Example: (What it does now) Customer chooses record 12 march 2012 at 2pm. There are 6 seats available for that day and time record. Customer selects 3 riders at form Reserve_Ride. And clicks submit. The ride in Add_New_Ticket is now set to reserved even though the ride is not yet full, there are 3 seats left. This is a problem.(much like an inventory management problem?)
What I would like it to do
is
Customer A chooses Choose_Date_and_Time Lookup record 12 march 2012 at 2pm.
There are 6 seats available for that unique day and time record 2 march 2012 at 2pm. .
Customer A selects 3 riders at form Reserve_Ride. Number of Riders. And clicks submit. The ride has 3 seats left.
The ride in Add_New_Ticket is still "Available" until more different
customers B chooses to select the rest of the seats at form Reserve_Ride.Number of Riders of the same unique record 12 march 2012 at 2pm until the total is 6 riders. This unique Choose_Date_and_Time record at Add_New_Ticket will now be "Reserved" and will now have up to 6 riders assigned to seats so the 2 march 2012 at 2pm is "Reserved"
( and maybe I need to add a riders quantity to the Add_New_Ticket form to make a formula?)
On add On Success:
MyBook = Add_New_Ticket[Formula_1 == input.Choose_Date_and_Time];
MyBook.Status="Reserved";
How to I make this "Reserved" only when number of riders reaches 6 riders?
Field Information:
Reserve_Ride.Number of Riders has values 1 2 3 4 5 6 (Should I do this differently?)
Choose_Date_and_Time is a Lookup reference to the Formula 1 in Add_New_Ticket (Which combines date time type of ride ect)
Reserve_Ride
Up to 6 Riders
Add_New_Ticket

Thank you so very much, your team has been so kind! Any ideas to make this "inventory management" happen would be great. r r s a d d l e c l u b is the account thanks!
