Hide apps bar and the collapsing sidebars are over lap causing problems for my touch pad and collapse sidebars causing most of my icons to be cut in half

hide apps bar and the collapsing sidebars are over lap causing problems for my touch pad making it hard to control which side bar i'm trying to open and the collapse sidebars on my net book (latitude 2110 dell ) is causing most of my icons to be cut in half and the only way it works the right way is if the witter is in full view
