How are "bar view" colors chosen for CRM Calendar events

I like to view my CRM Calendar in "bar view" but there is no rhyme or reason for the color's chosen by default. Is there a way to choose a color for events.

With random colors chosen I cannot make sense of my calendar as the appointments stack up
