how can I search mobile number of a record in all the MODULES (contacts and leads) using API and now making a call for every MODULE

I want to add new records to the lead MODULE, but I want to ensure that there will be no duplicates.
I plan to use the mobile phone to check for it but I didn't find any way to search in 1 API call in all the MODULES.
is there a way to search all the CRM in 1 API call?
