How can Zoho mail delete emails after a period of time from the server, but keep them in my email client?

How can Zoho mail delete emails after a period of time from the server, but not in my email client? Because momentarily if I delete an email on the server it also deletes it in my email client 'Apple Mail'.

I want this because I would like to store the emails on my computer without losing them. Also I don't want the server to get full.
