How do I add columns to task views (or activities views)?

How do I add columns to task views (or activities views)?

Hello,
I would like to create a task list for call center agents who do outbound calls.
They need to see a list that contains CUSTOM COLUMNS such as  Contact/Lead NAME and PHONE NUMBER, REMARKS, as well as DUE DATE.
How can I add these columns to the TASK view (or "activities" view)?

Or should I rather design a "REPORT"?
