How do I return a folder to where it used to be?

How do I return a folder to where it used to be?

My folder that contains all my best friend's emails suddenly became a subfolder to a different folder against my will.  Now I won't see when she emails me.   How can I get it back to where it's supposed to be?  

In other words, I have a folder under /inbox named "Recovery" and a folder under /inbox named "Danielle." But the folder named "Danielle" somehow became a subfolder of the folder named recovery, and I do not wish for this to be.  I was planning to delete the folder named "Recovery" (which I never use) - and had I done so, and not noticed this, I'd have lost all of my best friend's emails.

How do I get it back to its proper place so I can easily see her name light up when she sends me an email?
