How long mails are kept in my inbox???

How long mails are kept in my inbox??
It seems that may mails in my inbox over a month have disappeared.
I know that mail in trash and spam folders are kept for a month, but in my inbox???
Is it possible that mail in my inbox also are dleted after a month??
anybody can help??
