How soon can new Accounts/Contacts be searched for?

How soon can new Accounts/Contacts be searched for?

So we are seeing with an app we've made that uses the Zoho CRM API that Accounts/Contacts we add to Zoho manually are not immediately searchable via the API. It takes about 2-3 minutes before they start to appear in search results. In troubleshooting further, we discovered this is not unique to API search, but applies to Zoho CRM's search feature as well!

Can someone confirm that new accounts/contacts added are not immediately searchable in Zoho or the API? This creates an unwanted delay in our workflow when a greeter takes a company's info and passes them over to a sales/support person who cannot find their records until several minutes have passed!
