An optimal sales process helps improve the efficiency of your sales team. Won't it be great if your CRM system let's you tailor the sales process the way you want it? Blueprint in Zoho CRM helps you do just that. By setting stages and trigger workflows, Blueprint ensures your sales team follows a set process without deviating from the specifics.
Let's assume you've set the required stages and triggers, and fine-tuned your sales process with Blueprint. Your team has been following the process diligently. Now, you want to make some amendments to your sales process that warrants adding additional stages. While the newly added Blueprint stages impacts the records to be created henceforth, there are no ready options to bring existing records to the purview of amended sales process. The hack I'm sharing today helps you do just that.
Here's how you do it:
Step 1:
Go to Setup ---> Customization --> Modules and Fields --> click on Leads --> click on the Settings icon next to Lead Status -->click on Edit Properties --> Under Pick List Option, add a new lead status called Final, ensure it's added as the last status --> click on Done and save the layout.
Step 2 :
Go to Setup --> Customization --> Modules and Fields --> Click onLeads --> drag and drop a Checkbox field inside the layout, name it as dummy and save the layout.
Step 3:
Go to Setup --> Automation --> Workflow Rules --> Create Rule --> select the Leads module --> name the workflow and click on Next --> select "On a record action" --> select Field update --> select the dummy Check-box created in step 2 --> Clcik Next - Select "Record Matching the Conditions" - --> set the filter as when dummy Check-box is selected --> Click on Next --> Instant Actions --> Click on Field Update --> click on +New Update --> Add a name --> Against update, select Lead Status --> set it to Final--> Save and Associate.
Step 4:
Go to Leads module - set a filter for lead status and set lead status is cold leads and create a view.
Step 5:
Select the newly created view for cold leads and then mass update it to the dummy checkbox. So that all those lead are set to the lead status as final.
Step 6:
Now, create a view for the lead status is final and mass update it to the criteria to satisfy the blue print so that it is triggered.Writer is a powerful online word processor, designed for collaborative work.
