How to change the view of Open and Closed Activities in Accounts View.

I am wondering if there is a way to customize the layout view of the columns of the list of Open and Closed Activities when you are in the Accounts?

I have attached a screenshot of what I am talking about.

If we wanted to take out Status and Due Date (for example) so the Subject Column could be wider, how would I go about doing that?  Is that kind of customization possible?
