How to create task based on custom list view?

How to create task based on custom list view?

Ive created a custom list view, based on a custom field (Networking group: JVs, potential clients etc.) - when I go to create a task, there is no option to find this custom field. My goal is create a reminder / task to contact at specific intervals, for example, "potential clients" every 7 days. How do I do this?
