How to display Contact View sorted by last name?

How to display Contact View sorted by last name?

I am used to my contact lists sorted alphabetically by last name and in Zoho it displays first and then last. I tried creating a view and on the right column putting the last name first and then the First Name second but it still displays "first last".  What am I missing?
