Hello Everyone!

If you loved the Tips and Tricks and Automate over custom functions, you're going to love this one!

As part of the Zoho community learning series, we're now launching the ''Hacks from the Support Desk'', where every once in a while, you'll be let in on a brand new hack from the Support Desk. See, we pick out common issues you face, fixes that you need, bugs that you report and give you a simple hack that will help you manage your CRM better.

Go through the following first edition of our Hacks from the support desk series and maybe you'll understand how easy and simple it is and how much it helps you.

Let's start with a simple but useful trick. We all make filters and alterations within our view. But sometimes we might be moving to another page and on coming back to see the filters  made, poof! it would be nonexistent and we'll be stuck only with the created view. To combat this, here's an easy and  simple trick for you to followAll you need to do is save the filter that you have set and created for that particular view in that respective module.

To get some more perspective, here's and example,

Say you want to know which of your records have an email address and phone number so that you can prioritiz and contact them.

Here's what you need to do :
a) Go to leads icon and on the left, find the smart filter. Search for emailscheck it and set email to 'IS NOT EMPTY' Also check and set  phone number to 'IS NOT EMPTY'.

b) After doing this you will see an 'apply filter' option at the bottom. Click on it and you will see the filtered records, you will also see a 'save filter' option. Select it and you can name the filter accordingly and you will see the saved filters above the smart filter option.

c) You will also be seeing the saved filters on the same view page.

d)  In case you want to revisit the saved filters, you can simply click on them and you'll be able to see the respective filtered records. If you need to make any changes to the existing filters - click on the filter and make the changes and hit on save and apply . If you want to rename or delete than click on the gear icon and edit or delete option is available for you.

Note: Please note that you can create up to 5 saved filters per view inside a module and in case you need more filters, you can create a specific view for the same module and can set another 5 filters.

And stay tuned for birthday automation next Wednesday !

Hello
!

Unfortunately it is not possible to share saved filters between users. However, you can create and share custom views:

hi, is there a way to customize Module filters ? i need to customize system defined filters and others ( add and remove )

Hello,

The list of filters are available based on the number of fields. You can choose choose which filters you want to save and view records. But you cannot add or remove filters. When you refer to customize module filters can you elaborate your use case in detail so we can check and assist you with this.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

It would be a fantastic addition to be able to setup these saved filters and apply them globally.

For each user we onboard, we can to go through the system and add these in manually every single time.

If there was an easier way, I'd be all for that

Hi Team
