How to Execute action for collection of records

I have a form, that when in the list view, i want to be able to select certain records and execute a function that will display only the results that i have selected in an HTML view.

I know how to launch an HTML view for individual records, but i do not know how to do so with a collection of records.

Can someone please post the post.
