How to get count of emails sent by a user in zoho CRM?

Hi, I am working on a project in zoho crm, and I want to get the number of Emails a user sent in a day.
Means I want to know, How many emails a user has sent in one day. 
Then I want to use it in reports.

How can I do this?

Is it possible to get count of sent emails directly in Zoho Advance Analytics or Zoho simple reports?
Or we have to do it through custom function/Workflows?

Please give me idea.
