I found a workaround to get Zoho and Microsoft 365 Power Automate to "communicate". I guess it's only one way, but I'm just happy I was able to get that far. I'll explain what I did in case it helps someone else. I'm sure you can tie the API and REST languages together somehow, but I'm not that good at writing code yet.
Here's what my need was:
When new Deal Created in Zoho have Microsoft 365 Create a Sharepoint Folder named my "Zoho Auto Number - Deal Name"
#1 - In Zoho create a new Email Template for this trigger. Make the Subject of the email what you want the folder to be called. I made the subject my "Auto Number - Deal Name". For the Body use plain text and make up a code for later use. The code can be ANYTHING you want. I made mine something like "FOLDER CREATE ajlkdjflajsdf;lksjd2389792830y6408732jasdfjiosd23897987320489" so it was plenty unique
#2 - Next in Zoho, build a workflow that sends an email when triggered.
Action: Deal Created
Condition: All Deals
Trigger: Email Notification and choose above email template
#3 - Now Log into your office 365 account ONLINE portal.office.com - ONLINE is important or it won't work unless your computer is on and you have Outlook Open.
#4 - Select Outlook - Again, be sure you're using the online version of Outlook (not your desktop app)
#5 - Select the Gear and choose "view all Outlook Settings"
#6 - Choose "Rules" and "Create New"
#7 - Create rule (see below for mine)
-Condition: when email with your code in the body "FOLDER CREATE aljsd;lkajsd;lf;jas;ldkjf;sd123984789-230984-" or whatever you made your code.
-For the action, have it moved to a folder and create a new folder for this email to go.
-Add another action and make the email "marked as read".
#8 - From you portal.office online login. Now select "Power Automate" (previously known as Flow).
#9 - Create a new Flow - From Blank
Trigger: When Email Arrives - then choose FolderAUTO from above
New Step: Create Folder in Sharepoint
-Coose your Sharepoint Folder
- Choose your Documents Library
- Folder Path: Dynamic Content box will show up, choose "Subject" from "when new mail arrives"
Now when a Deal is created, an email gets sent and Outlook Automatically moves that mail to a folder, which then triggers a workflow to create the folder. You can Use this method to do trigger anything you want in Office 365 Power Automate. Let your imagination run with this simply workaround to get Zoho to trigger Office 365 actions.
