How to handle multi currency or get rid of currency labels
So we know that multi-currency is NOT supported. Promised since 2007 (read earlier posts), but still not delivered 3 years later!
Solution 1: Suppress Currency Symbol altogether?
More frustrating is the fact that the currency field symbol cannot be suppressed in quotes, invoices, etc. If this was possible, one could get past the problem by creating multiple price books for each currency and not printing any symbol (or printing it manually in the print templates. Anyone had any success?
Solution 2: Custom fields to translate from a base rate
Tried to create a price list in USD. Then created custom fields in the products by using formula for the custom field. E.g. INR=USD Price * 47. Able to save value. Problem is when using the custom field inside a quote template, the ominous '$' symbol shows up again!!! Tried type casting the custom formula field using Tostring() function, still no luck. So basically the custom field inherited the currency type.... nonsense!
Zoho unable to provide a solution to date after 6 months. Earlier posts suggest they are not interested to do multi-currency... beginning to wonder if the shift from salesforce was smart after all... CRM that can't do multi currency is very useless frankly in today's international trading world.
Anyone fro Zoho listening?
