How to include data from related record(s) in an email template.

How to include data from related record(s) in an email template.

I'd like to trigger an email if an account status changes to cancelled. That's the super easy part. What i'd like to also do is include information from any related potentials so that we know who the last potential owner was and how much that potential was worth.

How can we do that? There's gotta be a function or something. I'm open to adding custom fields to the account record that get updated whenever a new potential is added in closed/won status.
