I have a problem with the “First Name” merge field in emailings, when it is empty.
I’d like to start my emails with “Hello $[FNAME]$,”
- When the field is “Robert”, my email starts with “Hello Robert,”
- When the field is empty, I want my email to start with “Hello,” but it starts in fact with “Hello customer,” because Zoho Campaigns automatically replaces the absent first name with “customer”
This is a problem for me, all the more so I work for a French company and our emails are in French. “Bonjour customer,” is not a great way to start my emails.
Is there a way to make empty merge fields stay empty in merged emails ?
