How to set up a mailing list?

How do I set up a mailing list? That is, if I have say 5 addresses I send to frequently, how do I set it up to do that?

I tried looking at groups but it does not appear to be what I want. I could not figure out how to e-mail to the group, and also it appears than when adding an address, it sends an e-mail and asks the user to join the group. I don't want this (and that e-mail tends to end up in Spam folder anyway.)

Sorry if this is a duplicate, but I can't find my previous post on this.. must have gone into the bitbucket.
