CRM Hack #27 How to setup a customized reminder in a module in Zoho CRM?

In Zoho CRM, we have automation workflows that helps administrators to notify the higher ups, create follow up tasks, update fields and send data to another applications. But there is no option to remind a user at a specific date in CRM using workflows. Say for example, you want to be reminded about a particular Deal exactly 3 days after meeting the client.To do this, you need to manually add a task and associate this deal to it.The hack I'm proposing today helps you do just that with just one click.
Setup -> Customization -> Modules and Fields -> Deals module -> Add a "Date" field into the layout and save it.
Step 2: Setup a workflow.|
Setup -> Automation -> Workflow Rules -> Create Rule -> Select the Deals module -> Give a rule name and description -> Click on Next -> On a Date/time -> By default 3 drop down options are seen, select "On" from the second drop down field and ensure the new newly created Date field is chosen -> Against "Recur", choose "Once" -> Click on Next
Check for the option to specify your criteria, "Records Matching the Conditions" -> Specify the required criteria"Execute On" that Date-Recur Once->Which records->Specify your own criteria->Instant action->Tasks->Create a task and save the workflow.
Advantage: Say if you select a date to 3 days, a task gets created after 3 days to remind you about the deal. Optionally, you may also use the custom functions to create an event on specific days and have that included in your calendar.
