How to start a scheduled call

we are starting to use the call scheduling feature but it seems that are are not using it correctly. I have read the documentation, but that does not help with my question.
When I schedule a call, how can I start the call. There is no start call button, also there is no end call button. These buttons are available for instant calls and are used to update start and end time, which is quite intuitive. How can that be achieved with planned calls?
Throughout the CRM all phone numbers are represented as tel: link with a small green phone icon. However, this is not available in the window for scheduled calls. This means, when I open a schedule call and want to initiate dialing on my computer, I first need to go back to the contact to reveal the phone number that provides the tel: link. Wouldn't it make more sense, to provide that dial feature in the call window, where it belongs to?
