How to stay on one monthly view on calendar.

How to stay on one monthly view on calendar.

I'm having a problem when I post something in the month in advance that it always returns me to the current month.  Is there any way to prevent this?  I am in a monthly view and when I post something or want to delete something off a month in advance it always takes me back to the current month.  I find this extremely frustrating and time consuming.  Also when you go back to the current month you cant skip to the next month after making changes to that month.  Any information on how to correct this would be great, thanks.
