How to trigger a transition for multiple applications?

Hi.

We manage a selection process with thousands of candidates. At some moments, we want to reprove hundreds of them (because they haven't answered and online test, for example), or move for the next status/stage the ones with a specific tag.

I can do that one by one using the transitions available in the application's view:

But those options aren't available in the applications' list view:

Is there a way to trigger a transition for multiple applications at once?

Note: I'm also open to options using the API, but I couldn't yet find a way to trigger a transition or change an application's status also.
