How to turn off Outlook and open email hyperlinks in Zoho email editor

In CRM, Contacts view, I have a hyperlinked field for the email of the contact. 

I would like to be able to click on that hyperlink, and open a new email in CRM (prompt for template). 

Right now, Outlook assumes control when I click email hyperlinks, so 10 demerits to MS for bad behavior. I don't want or need Microsoft Outlook and will never regret the day I left. Anyway....

I want to go Zoho CRM - Centric and need to get this working in my browser (Chrome) ASAP.
