I created a webform...

I created a web form, its a contact, it integrated into my website fine. I fill it out and two things happen, one i don't get the Auto thank you response. And twp...my CRM shows no contact data, no client data, no lead no nothing. Where is the information being stored and how can I see it. It does not notify the owner, which is what i have it set to do that anyone even asked for contact. I know i am missing a few things and i know they must be simple as this is a basic function but i just cant figure it out
