Is there a way to enable spam detection yet keep tagged messages in the inbox?

I primarily download mail to an email client via POP3 so need to leave spam tagged messages in the inbox so i can check for false positives.  I have spam detection disabled now because I can't find such an option.  Advice is appreciated.
