E-signing has significantly transformed the way we sign, from bulk signing contracts to sending documents to other parts of the world for signature collection. However, it involves more than just digitally signing a document. First, the document has to be prepared, any necessary attachments have to be added, all the signer names have to be correctly entered, and then it has to be sent out for signature.
Our aim with this update is to make this whole process a lot smoother for both the sender and signer.
Here's how it works:
Add more attachment formats
We've all looked up "how to convert png to jpeg" at least once a month. We've all tried to add attachments to our signing documents only to see an error message because we used the wrong attachment format.
That's why we're expanding Writer to now let you add a variety of formats including pdf, jpg, jpeg, png, doc, docx, html, htm, tex, txt, sxw, odt, rtf, xls, xlsx, and ods.
Changed your mind? Call it back
"Oh no I sent the wrong document", "Oops, I added the wrong recipient name". We're all human. We all make mistakes and deserve second chances.
With the new Recall Sign option, Writer lets you make sure your sign process is done absolutely right. This option will recall your sign process, cancel all outstanding signing activities, and stop recipients from viewing or signing the document. Email notifications to recipients will also be stopped. It'll be like you never initiated the process to begin with.
Speak the language they speak
Wouldn't your Danish-speaking client appreciate it if they didn't have to use a translator to find their way around your document? That's why you can now set the language for each of your recipients, so they can view the options and menus in the signing document in their native language.
Sign, add attachments, and call it a deal
Sometimes documents require more than just your recipient's signature. They may have to add proof of ID for verification or other attachments.
You don't have to send your signer a separate email asking for this additional material. You can now add an attachment field in the document so that your signers can easily add the necessary attachments to it.
That's all for now. Let us know what you think of this update in the comments below!
Happy writing, and most importantly, stay safe!
