IMAP blocked - and number of connections?!
Seems I've exceeded the number of imap connections. Could I be unblocked please?
From searching in the forums it would seem the culprit is a combination of using the Android email app K9 (or one of its derivitives) and trying to download ALL of my archived email which I've got to the Zoho mail servers via the migration tool. This archived mail is about 100 folders with many hundreds of emails. Apparently K9 opens an imap connection per folder so I understand the issue.
However, I want to get ALL of my email onto my phone so that I can make use of it whilst in a no-signal situation. Maybe with the phone in 'airplane' mode whilst flying. I was trying to sync everything then I would turn off sync to the 'archives', just turning this on every now and then. How can I accomplish this if the mail server keeps hitting me with imap connection issues?
From a higher level all of these 'restrictions' cause endless problems with users, who should be just that, users. Making use of the Zoho tools and not having to worry about such 'technicalities'.
Oh, and where on the site is a complete list of all the limits for each type of account? For example, the size, and reasons for, a lower output limit if using Outlook or TBird?
Comments?
Thanks in advance.
