Not the first time this has happened.
My IMAP client previously showed 559 messages in the inbox.
Today I opened the client and it was taking a very, very long time to show the inbox. Then I noticed in the status bar that it's indexing 8723 messages.
I checked the inbox from zoho mail's web interface. There are no new messages today, so far. So I haven't received a flood of non-spam messages that would cause my inbox to blow up by a factor of 10.
When this happened before, it looked like Zoho's IMAP backend mistakenly marked thousands of messages as "inbox." Then, after a few hours, the problem magically went away.
EDIT: The inbox finally displayed -- TONS of messages that had been moved to other folders previously. So it's exactly the same problem as before.
I hope something can be done to make Zoho IMAP more stable.
