I have just been told the IMAP solution only syncs emails and when a user is deactivated and/or their email account is closed, anything that has been synced from that user to CRM historically, will be lost. I can not see any value to any customer, with the system loosing past emails of past users. I thought one of the main purposes of syncing emails to CRM, was so other users could view them and see what users have sent to contacts etc in the past. If the system looses all of this information when a user/email account is deleted, of what benefit is this?
I therefore purpose an idea that Zoho change the settings for this and enable it so historically synced emails, are kept within the system. I have been told the POP solution does this but, i would like to know why the IMAP solution wouldn't/shouldn't do this. It seems very odd.
I look forward to your feedback and that of other users with the IMAP solution.
P.S a note regarding the lose of emails when a user is deactivated, should be put in the user manuals. If we were aware of this issue, we would never have chosen this as a solution.
