Import feature not functioning

Import feature not functioning

I have attempted to import both Powerpoint (.ppt) and Impress (.sxi) files without success. In both cases the presentation was less than 5MB (they were 1.9MB) and the file appears to transfer (verified with a protocol analyzer), but the import dialog "hangs" indefintely (I waited 1 hr. 45 min. after xfer before giving up).

Attempt were made using Firefox v1.5.0.6 running on Fedora Core 4 with all updates.

I am assuming that this feature is not yet functional. Does anyone have any information on the status of "Import"?
