Import leads from trade show, but some might be existing contacts

Import leads from trade show, but some might be existing contacts

Hi all,
We just came back from a trade show, and imported a lead list.  Some of the people on the list might be existing contacts.  Is there a way to sort this on import? (new leads to leads, contacts to contacts)  Or is there a way to scan leads for an existing contact, and merge the two?
