Dear All,
Greetings from Zoho Mail Team!
To make your experience with Zoho Mail better and smoother, we have made a few enhancements at our end recently. The enhancements include providing specialized and different access points for POP/ IMAP, distinct for organization users and personal users.
The organization users, who have their domain based accounts set up in Zoho, can access the POP and IMAP using the
new server configuration details provided below:
IMAP :
imappro.zoho.com, Port: 993, Security: SSL
POP:
poppro.zoho.com, Port: 995, Security: SSL
IMAP: imap.zoho.com, Port: 993, Security: SSL
POP: pop.zoho.com, Port: 995, Security: SSL
The personal users with @zoho.com accounts, will encounter an error if they try to configure using the servers authorized for organization users.
The focus of these enhancements is to address and eliminate the access issues recently encountered by the users due to server overload and also to identify and troubleshoot the problems earlier, with lesser impact.
We are also aiming to provide further similar enhancements to improve the overall efficiency of the entire system.
Please feel free to let us know, in case you need any further clarifications.
Update on 10 Mar 2016:
1. Will the existing settings continue to work ? Is this an optional change?
The existing settings imap.zoho.com and pop.zoho.com will continue to work for organization users as well. This is an optional change.
But we highly recommend the organization users to change their POP/ IMAP clients to reflect the new configuration for better experience.
2. Are there any changes in SMTP server info?
Currently
no changes are required in the SMTP configuration.
3. Will this change cause duplicate fetch or sync in POP/ IMAP?
You can just edit your current POP/ IMAP account configuration and provide the new incoming server names alone. This change
will not cause any duplicates or new sync in the POP/ IMAP clients.
4. This change is applicable only to the users who access their Zoho accounts via IMAP in desktop/ mobile devices. This is not applicable for webmail users or users with external accounts configured in Zoho Mail.

Ramya A
