Important changes to Kanban view for Meetings, Calls, Tasks, and Appointments modules

Hello Enterprise Community,

This is a heads-up for some upcoming major improvements to the Kanban view for all Activities modules, expected to be available by the end of July. We will be deprecating the current system-defined Kanban view to introduce changes that will make Kanban views more customizable and easier to use in Activities modules.

What's changing?

1. Customization options for Kanban views
The new Kanban view for the Activities modules will offer customization options that were previously unavailable. In the current Kanban view, users can't modify the boards' system-defined details. However, with the new update, users will be able to select a picklist field from the module per their business requirements, and the Kanban board will update based on the field values. This functionality is already available in Kanban views for other modules, and will now extend to the Activities modules as well to ensure a more flexible and user-defined experience.

Important changes to Kanban view for Meetings, Calls, Tasks, and Appointments modules

  • These changes are specifically for Kanban views in the Activities modules.
  • Users don't have to make any adjustments for this change, as the Kanban view will be updated automatically. This is just a heads-up to keep you informed.




2. Deprecation of the current Kanban view
The current Kanban view for the Activities modules will be discontinued after July 22, 2024. After this date, the new Kanban view will be available in your organization. The next time you log into your account, you will be prompted to select a field to categorize the Kanban board, as shown in the video below.
