Hello everyone,
We are back with a set of exciting enhancements for Zoho Community.
Community is a place where you can get important updates, engage and interact with other users, find topics of interest, share ideas, ask questions, and help peers with replies to posts or comments. Agents also use it for announcements, discussions, to encourage interactions among users, and more. All-in-all, it is a platform that encourages both peer exchanges and self-driven learning.
In the following enhancements, we have introduced more functionality to give users additional options when posting on Community. Let's take a look at each in detail.
Engaging and user-friendly interface
The interface has been revamped to make it more user-friendly. The new interface is quite similar to the Knowledge Base and adds more formatting options and other functionality, such as:
- Properties
- Content
- Drafts, in the right panel
- SEO section at the bottom of the editor
Introducing predefined text styles
Users can choose from various predefined text formats to make their Community post more engaging. Highlighting the most important section of an announcement, question or idea will grab readers' attention. To facilitate this, we are providing predefined styles for different purposes:
- Notes
- Quote
- Warning
- Alert
- Info
- Idea
- Normal
Use of SEO
SEO features (such as relevant meta keywords, meta descriptions, and title) help search engines index Community articles and include them in appropriate search results to increase their reach online.
Add feature image
Forum post links are generally shared over social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. Including a relevant image in your post will make it more visible and interesting, resulting in more clicks and engagement.
Featured image allows users to share the right image with the post link. It's easy to add a featured image either by selecting an image from within the post or uploading it separately.
Edit permalink and use 301 redirection
The title of the post can be edited to make it more appropriate for the context and boost the effect on SEO. To improve a post's title for clarity, edit the permalink accordingly and employ a 301 redirection to redirect the old link to the new one. This ensures users understand the post's topic and can participate in discussions that are relevant to them.
