Importing Contacts from Outlook

I am trying to import Contacts from Microsoft Outlook 2003. Using the raw CSV export from Outlook fails. Saving that CSV as XLS fails, too. Alert advises me to ensure that I am using a proper XLS or CSV format and that my file contains no controls such as combo boxes. I have made multiple atempts to clean up the files - eliminating columns and the like. This seems to help. Under XLS only, I am able to get to the point where I can proceed through field mappings and sometimes even get a warning about duplicate contacts. Invariably, though, Zoho hangs on the "Importing Records..." Progress Bar, even though status bar in browser window reports "Done." The file I am trying to import contains about 500 records. I have opened files in text editor to see if anything seems amiss and nothing does. Have tried formatting the CSV in Excel as text, but to no avail. The import feature in Zoho is not broken altogether - I have created a small test file and it will import. Something about the files I have exported from Outlook Zoho seems not to like. OS is Windows XP Home Edition SP2. Browser is Firefox 1.5.0.7. Any suggestions? Thank you.
